Suggested Dance Shoes

It's important that you give yourself the best dancing experience as possible!

While learning, we don't need any handicaps preventing us from being great performers!

I have included some sugestions for shoes on this page so that you u nderstand clearly what to bring to lessons! And, what to wear on the dance floor. Speaking from experience, wearing the wrong shoes can result in injury, and that is an immediate damper on fun, and we don't want that!

Ladies

A street version with slick soles is fine. Ladies, You MUST have shoes with backs on them. No mules styles please! Below are some examples of good shoes -old or new fine. Shoes with rubber soles are bad because  you cannot slide and may hurt yourself.

No Black Rubber soles Please Must be slick front and back, and no rubber bumper around your shoe. This will really hang you up on the dance floor. Below are good styles to consider old or new are fine! Most dress shoes are slick soled or leather soled which is good for dancing to create a the slide motion.
