Hi I'm Rhonda! I have a passion for social dance. That which connects us with friends, loved ones, and family, and music. In Social Dance, it's a constant learning and showing off, but not to compete! Moving to music will bring you a "life long holiday" as one of my favorite partners used to say. Learn with me in rare group lesson but mostly private lessons, and then come out dancing with the teacher to live music venues all over Portland.

Social and Performance Dance is my specialty. I am a teacher, but I think of myself more as a dance advocate or "Zealot". The more people I teach to dance well, the more people I might have to dance with! I've been dancing over 15 years and teaching around 12 years . I do not practice competition dancing (dancing for judges) nor do I teach it. I do perform and do exibits in partner dance from time to time. I am currently coming out of a long term injury, but I have danced in front of 800 people, and attended dances that hold 1000 dancers. I have also DJed for 1000 dancers between big band sets. A huge honor, in Culver City California, near Hollywood.
Now, I mostly focus on keeping a rigorous private dance instruction & choreography schedule. With a couple group lessons per month. Check my calendar for continuous price specials! Dancing is fun and excellent excercise and also a way to 'show off' our rhythm and personlalities, meet new people, or have fun with the ones we already know! It's also great mental excercise and relaxation, and a great way to communicate without having to talk. Most of all, we can enjoy music even more with dance, and participate!
I love my job and love dancing. You won't find any fuddy duddy elitism or bad attitude here, just a bunch of new moves and a fun style of learning! Bring an open mind and be ready for some serious fun!
